Samsung display's flexible OLED market share remains the largest, but it is unlikely to occupy more than 60 percent of the mobile flexible OLED market in the future.
Samsung's Display market share fell 3.8 percentage points in the first quarter compared with the same period last year, as BOE and LG Display increased their supply of OLED panels for Apple's iPhone from last year, reducing their share.
But Samsung Display's share of the flexible OLED market fell below 50 percent in the second quarter of last year.
In response, Stone Partners said Samsung Display attributed the decline in OLED market share to "LG Display and BOE increasing panel supply for Apple's iPhone, as well as sluggish high-end smartphone sales from Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi."
